Our Story. Our Why.

BodyGoals Fitness has been growing since 2021, from a small group of women training together, into a community that has quietly transformed how its members see themselves. This is the story of how it happened, and why it matters.

Finding fitness isn't always easy.

A woman is preparing to lift weights in a gym, with a barbell containing red and green weight plates on the ground.

Krista didn't always love fitness. She struggled to keep up in boot camps. Sports leagues? Forget it. She kept to the elliptical and clipped out Shape magazine ab workouts while pilates dvds gathered dust in the corner of her living room. All until the right person walked her into the weight room and changed everything.

That trainer introduced her to free weights, and with them, a revelation: the weight room had its own culture, and not the super scary one she’d been afraid of. Instead she found one built on support and protection, on celebrating every personal record, on pushing through the moments when your body wants to quit and your mind has already decided to. It was an energy absent from the boot camp screaming and sweat-off-the-fat classes. Abundance in a world that so often told women to shrink.

This energy was a breath of fresh air. Leveraging her background in science, the study of hypertrophy and biomechanics felt natural and she furthered her knowledge through study, hands-on experience, and an ever-deepening understanding of how women's bodies move, grow, and change across every phase of life.

"I found a type of support in the weight room that doesn't exist elsewhere — where workout partners spot and celebrate one another, and give the tough encouragement needed to push through emotional and mental blocks."

In 2020, the always smiling and ever inquisitive Heidy introduced herself to Krista and their fit-fam friendship blossomed. As they began to train together and each saw continued improvements, other women noticed and joined in. BGF didn't launch with a grand plan. It grew organically,  a few friends and a shared workout, until it became undeniable that something real was forming.

Over five years later, the program has evolved considerably. But its core intention has never wavered: to be the place where women step into the weight room and discover they belong there.

What We Stand For

Built on a different belief about women and strength

Abundance Over Scarcity

Feminine culture too often runs on competition and comparison. It’s the insidious idea that another woman's success or beauty shadows your own. BGF is a direct rejection of that. We celebrate every win, every rep, every pound added to the bar.

Strong, Not Smaller

BGF was built to move women away from the belief that they need to be less: to be smaller, thinner, more delicate. Our goal is to spin that around: to help you understand your body in new ways, own it fully, be grateful for it, and discover what it is actually capable of.

Real Belonging

This isn't a class you attend. It's a community you join. The relationships formed inside BGF sessions have a way of extending well beyond the gym floor…and that's entirely by design.

A Note From Krista

I know what it feels like to not know where to start. To shrink into a corner or stand at the edge of a weight room and feel like it wasn't meant for me. It wasn't, for a long time, but once I found myself there, it changed my life in ways I didn't expect.

What I wanted to build in BGF was the thing we all deserve: a place where a skilled coach walks with you through the open gym, teaches you not only the hows but the whys, where the women beside you are genuinely rooting for you, not snarking behind you.

Five years in, I still get a rush watching someone discover their strength for the first time. That's why we're here.

Come discover how incredible you already are.
